U.S. Coast Guard Seeks Contractor for Backflow Preventer Replacement at Base LA/LB — The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, is seeking a qualified contractor to replace a backflow preventer at Building 21 on the USCG Base Los Angeles Long Beach in San Pedro, CA. — Scope of Work: — The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following: — Remove the existing 6-inch backflow preventer. — Install a new 6-inch Wilkins 475 ASTR backflow preventer assembly. — Install two new OSY (Outside Screw and Yoke) valves. — Conduct testing of the new assembly to ensure proper operation in coordination with the government representative. — All work must be performed in compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and EM 385-1-1 safety standards.
