U.S. Coast Guard Seeks Contractor for Backflow Preventer Replacement at Base LA/LB — The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, is seeking a qualified contractor to replace a backflow preventer at Building 21 on the USCG Base Los Angeles Long Beach in San Pedro, CA. — Scope of Work: — The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following: — Remove the existing 6-inch backflow preventer. — Install a new 6-inch Wilkins 475 ASTR backflow preventer assembly. — Install two new OSY (Outside Screw and Yoke) valves. — Conduct testing of the new assembly to ensure proper operation in coordination with the government representative. — All work must be performed in compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and EM 385-1-1 safety standards. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding federal holidays. — Evaluation Factors: — This procurement will be evaluated based on factors outlined in FAR 52.212-2. The government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is most advantageous to the Government. Past performance and technical capability when combined are considered more important than price alone. — Warranty: — The contractor shall provide a one-year warranty on all materials, equipment, and workmanship from the date of government acceptance, in accordance with FAR 52.246-21. — Site Visit & Contact Information: — Interested parties are encouraged to conduct a site investigation (FAR 52.236-3).
